Imphal, November 22 2012: A seven member polo team of France has lended at Tulihal Airport, Imphal to participate in the 6th Manipur Polo International, 2012 which is to be held at Mapal Kangjeibung from November 24 to 29 as part of the ongoing Sangai Festival.

The French team was recieved by officials of Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at the Tulihal Airport, Imphal.

Members of the Frence team were team captain Allemand Daniel Roger, Christian Daudre, Paul Benattar, Sebastian Decommer, Sebastian Matte, Mrs Loreal Claude Marie and Miss Allemand Loreal.

Thailand, Germany and England teams will also be arriving Imphal tomorrow to participate in the championship.

Mention may be made that Polo was originated in Manipur and the Mapal Kangjeibung is the oldest living pologround in the world.
