1st MNCA U-15 Women's Tournament : Joyshree Charoibam stars in YPHUC's 2-wicket win over MPA; AKSDO, PTRC share points

YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong registered a two-wicket win over MPA for their second league stage victory in the ongoing 1st MNCA U-15 Women's Tournament.
YPHUC opted to field first at PCC ground in Mayaikoibi and restricted MPA to 164/7 in the allotted 30 overs before cruising to the target in 20.4 overs with two-wickets left to spare.
MPA never looked in contention and were reduced to 45/3 in 12.1 overs with Suchitra inflicting early damage by bowling out opener Chongtham Senorika and Joyshree Charoibam getting rid of P Annanya and Ch Mandarani cheaply.

Loktongbam Terina further pile pressure on MPA line up by removing Sylvenia Thokchom on 9 for the fourth wicket at 55 before Joyshree Charoibam completed her haul of three wickets by trapping Okram Nandita lbw in the last ball of the 15th over to make it 60/5 .
MPA further slipped to 98/7 losing Guneshwory Yumnam 2 and Chongtham Anupama 13 on run outs before Krishnakumari 23 and Chongtham Rushita 35 forged an unbeaten partnership to end the innings at 164/7 .
Joyshree Charoibam returned with the best bowling figures of 3/27 for YPHUC in her spell of 6 overs.
In reply, YPHUC suffered an early jolt as Japani Irom and Lanchenbi Mutum were dispatched on golden ducks by Yumnam Echapamu in the first over.
From 7/2 after 6 balls, Joyshree Charoibam and Ningthoisana Thoudam forged a crucial 50-run partnership to take out their team from the precarious situation before Ningthoisana was bowled out by Krishnakumar Chongtham in the fourth delivery of the 7th over.
Joyshree Charoibam kept the scoreboard ticking by forging another 61 run partnership with Loktongbam Terina (14) for the fourth wicket before she holed out to Y Echapamu for 56 runs off the Chongtham Rushita's fourth delivery of the 18th for the 6th wicket as the scoreboard 150.Echapamu returned with the best figures of 4/35 in 6 overs but her effort did little effort as YPHUC were too close to the victory when she acted.
Joyshree, who picked three wickets and hit a half century for the victors, was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, AKSDO, Khangabok and PTRC, Patsoi had to share points at Khudeiband Lampak in Taothong owing to unplayable ground condition.
