Imphal, February 22 2016: The 1st State Level Aribam Amutombi Sharma Memorial Veteran Cricket Championship, organised by the Model Club, Chingamakha began today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangshangbam.

In today's opening match, hosts Model Club-A, Chingamakha registered an easy 7 wickets win against NAPSA, Kha-Imphal.

Batting first, NAPSA set a 113 run target in the allotted 30 overs with seven men down.

Gautam (27), Ratankumar (24), A Dinesh (19) and Keshorjit (12) were the notable scorers of NAPSA.

In reply, Model Club easily chased the target in 22.2 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Suresh went impressive as he slammed 47 runs off 46 balls while the main scorers of Model Club were Tomba (18), Chaoba (14) and Mujibur (13).Suresh of Model Club-A was named the man of the match.

Tomorrow, DSU, Kwakeithel and CRAU, Khamnam Bazar will play.
