2nd Pointrex Cup kicked off

Imphal, November 20 2021: The 2nd Pointrex Cup kicked off today at Huru Football Turf in Damyenti Sports Complex located at Khurai Konsam Leikai.

The tournament has seen the participation of 16 teams which have been divided into 4 groups.

These groups will play in a league round after which two groups will be selected for the semi final round.

The two winning teams will then move on to the finals.

It may be mentioned that the inaugural ceremony of the 2nd Pointrex Cup was attended by Longjam Ibotombi, former president Imphal West Football Association and Dr Robindro Laitonjam, senior dental surgeon, Manipur Health Services.

Speaking on the occasion, Renold Khumanthem, Managing Director, Pointrex Educational Solution Private Limited remarked that the tournament was held not only to promote football but also to distance the youth from the use of illicit substances.
