Chandam Inunganbi Memorial Football : SBNYC, SYC complete semi-final line up

Jiribam, August 20 2018: SBNYC, Jirighat played out a 2-2 draw with RYC, Ramzaijang while Lalpani SYC beat Chikim FC by a narrow 1-0 margin to complete the semi-final line up of the 15th Chandam Inunganbi Memorial Mini Boys (U-13) Football Tournament being organised by All Jiribam Sports Association at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Ground.

In the last Group X quarter final league match of the tournament, Lalpani SYC relied on Joymal's 52nd minute goal to finish runners up.

Lalpani SYC will face PYC, Phaitol in the semi-final match on August 22.The other semi-final match will be played on the same day between Mokamlung FC and SBNYC, Jirighat.

Earlier, SBNYC and RYC were evenly matched throughout the whole course and eventually played out a 2-2 draw.

RYC opened up in the eleventh minute through Thaingampoy after a cautious start but to their disappointment, Biki Gaola of the Jirighat side managed to level the score in the 22nd minute before going into the break with the same scoreline.

SBNYC looked positive in the second half as they were able to take a 2-1 lead when Bijoy banged in a fine shot in the 50th minute.

RYC also replied back with some close attempts and their efforts paid off in the dying minutes of the game as Gaibidin found the leveller to finish the game 2-2 .

However, SBNYC by virtue of higher goal deference were able to make it through to the semis.
