MYDA to clash with TAM FC in final of TKWA trophy

Imphal, June 20 2019: MYDA Mairenkhun will battle it out with TAM FC, Sekta in the final of TKWA Trophy 2019 organized by Tentha Khongbal Welfare Association (TKWA), Tentha at Tentha Khongbal Multi-Complex ground.

In the second semifinal match played today, TAM FC Sekta defeated Samphabi FC by 7-6 goals in kick from penalty mark to sail through to the final.

Although, Samphabi FC started the match on rousing note with two goals lead in the first half through Premjit in the 14th and 30th minute, TAM FC fought back hard to equalise the score in the second half riding on Bishorjit whose two goals in the 49th and 51st minute dragged the match to the penalty shootout.

In the decider, TAM FC converted all the five shots into goals taken by Tamochou, Basanta, Thoi, Bisheshwor and Bishorjit while Samphabi FC fumbled on one penalty shot taken by Y Kamando Singh to face defeat in the semifinal.

Dinachandra, Premjit, Suraj and Kabiraj were the successful scorers for Samphabi FC .
