Imphal, August 17 2023: Renshi Soibam Bindeshori Chanu has been appointed as member of the Referee Commission of Karate India Organisation, the National Federation of Karate sports, said Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association.

She is the first and only female from the North-East India to be appointed as a member of the Referee Commission of the Karate India Organisation.

She was appointed to the post on August 13 .

Soibam Bindeshori Chanu is an International qualified Referee of KIO under the Asian karate federation.

She is also a World Karate Federation certified coach.

She was the Indian team coach (female) for Senior World Championship in 2021 .

She has been continuously representing India in International seminars since 2016, said Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association extending best wishes to the Soibam Bindeshori Chanu.
