4th MNCA Superplate Tournament : WYC end Al-Ameen's three game winning streak, Blue Hawk beat UCC by 14 runs

WYC, Wangkhei pulled off a 5 wicket win to end Al-Ameen's three Group B game winning streak in the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament.
Al-Ameen, Lilong won the toss at Moijing Public Ground and gathered a modest total of 164 for 8 wickets in the allotted 30 overs thanks to Yumnam Rohit who struck a 64-ball 62 and contributions from Kh Shahadat Ali 25, Md Safwan Khan 14, Habibullah Ahammed and Md Shamir Khan 10.The total however proved too easy as WYC rode on Wangkhem Laksmon's 54-ball 59 and Sherokumar Singh's 35-ball 28 to seal the victory in 27.2 overs with five wickets left to spare.
Thoudam Roshankumar was pick of the WYC bowlers finishing with the best figures of 4/28 as Laksmon finished with 2/33.For Al-Ameen, Najarul Islam enjoyed a four wicket haul but went in vain (4/27) .
Laksmon was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, Blue Hawk bounced back from their first game (Group A) loss to beat UCC, Kangchup Road by 14 runs.
Blue Hawk won the toss and elected to bat first.
They were bundled out for 155 runs in 31 overs despite efforts from Amom Guniram 48 and Ningthoujam Ajit 45 as Suraj (3/31), Thokchom Yoihenba (2/16), L Roshan (2/30) and L Bhuson (2/32) starred with their bowlings for UCC.
UCC however slumped to 141 all out in 31.1 overs as Pradeep Oinam (3/20) and H Samsung (3/11) combined well to derail their chase.
H Ajitkumar 38, S Nelson 24 and Th Amarjit 21 were the only double digit run getters for UCC in the second innings that also saw Semson Soibam, W Samson and Amom Guniram pick a wicket apiece.
A Guniram who topscored for Blue Hawk and picked a wicket was adjudged player of the match.
