Imphal, February 15 2016: MPSC-A emerged champions of senior tent pegging lance team event on the last day of the ongoing 13th Manipur State and 7th Junior Equestrian Championship, jointly organised by IGAR (South) and Manipur Equestrian Association, today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

In today's closing ceremony of the championship, Major General VS Sreenivas, IG, Assam Rifles (S) graced the function as chief guest.

Brigadier VT Mathew, Commander, 9 Sector Assam Rifles, Brigadier JS Bainsla, Manipur Equestrian Association president Dr S Joykumar Singh and Manipuri Pony Society president Dr Ksh Chourajit Singh also attended the function as guests of honour.

On the last day of the championship today, MPSC-A secured 112.5 points in the senior tent pegging lance (team event) to claim the first position while Rupkumar Polo Club and K&MMR School-A got 111 and 100 points respectively and settled for the second and third place.

Champions MPSC-A were represented by S Bimol, H Abung, M Vivekananda and M Surjit.

In the show jumping final round, Y Suraj � CPC grabbed the first position while S Jemson � K&MMRS and K Premkumar � RKSSS came second and third respectively.

In the senior tent pegging lance individual final round, L Olendro � RKSSS with 33 points stood first while S Bimol � MPSC and L Dhaneshor � CHPC settled for the second and third spot respectively.

In the senior tent pegging sword individual final round, Kh Kaoba � CHPC, S Abungcha � MPSC and K Malemnganba � RKSSS claimed first, second and third position respectively.
