NAPSA, KSDO stretch winning run to three games in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 14 2024: Both NAPSA, Kha Imphal and KSDO, Kyamgei registered their third straight victories in the ongoing 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 .

At Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, KSDO cruised to their third Group B victory by defeating SSU, Singjamei Kakwa by 8 wickets.

KSDO chose to field first and restricted SSU to 129 for 8 in 26 overs riding on economical performances from Md Riyajuddin (2/20 in 5 overs), Md Shah Jahan (2/33 in 6 overs) and S Shah Nawaz (2/13 in 5 overs) .

Md Abdul Rafique then smacked a 42-ball 50 and remained unbeaten to guide KSDO to winning 132/2 in 21.4 overs with Md Washim 19 not out.

Abdul Rafique was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Meanwhile in the Group A match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, Heisnam Boney (4/22), Albert Sorokhaibam (3/10) and Bipin Ningthoujam (2/10) combined well to dismantle toss winners SU, Sagolband at 102 in 34.1 overs before Heisnam Boney 29 and Bipin Ningthoujam 22 led NAPSA to winning 108/4 within 16 overs.

RK Pritamkumar 19, N Komol 15 and Ng Herojit 13 were the leading run getters for SU before Anderson Keisham (2/13) and RK Pritamkumar (1/27) shared three wickets.

H Boney who starred with both the bat and ball in NAPSA's 6 wicket win was adjudged player of the match.
