Okendro, L Shushila earn top places in online work out contest

Imphal, August 14 2020: Sanasam Okendro Singh bagged the men's title of the "Freehand whole body work out at home during lockdown 2020" contest held yesterday on the occasion of Patriots' Day while L Shushila Devi clinched the women crown.

The competition, held originally as "Emagidamak" on August 13 annually by All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA), was conducted online ( with participants submitting 2-minute video) this time in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maibam Robart Singh of Iron Gym, Kakching finished second while Punshiba Konthoujam of Cleopatra Fitness Centre, Nambol was third in the men's competition as Sanasam Okendro Singh of Khelen Gym Fitness, Thoubal bagged the top honour.

Minketan Hawaibam of Indrayaisana Wellness Centre, Khumbong finished 4th in the same competition while P Indrakumar of Monster Gym, Ningthoukhong managed the 5th place.

Meanwhile, L Sushila of Modhuchandra Memorial Gym, Heingang emerged on top of the women's competition as W Jamuna Devi of Royal Fitness Academy, Thoubal and Martina Thokchom of Liangtuang Gym Kamei Foundation, Tarung finished second and third.

Finishing fourth was M Bidyaluxmee Devi of Plus Fitness Arena, Palace Compound while her compatriot Yumnam Moni Devi earned the 5th place.

In all 50 athletes from different gyms across the State took part in this online contest.

The winners of the online contest will be feted held when COVID-19 crisis is over, said a statement of AMBBA.
