Maring players shine at Vovinam meet

Imphal, June 14 2014 : Two Maring players belonging to District Chandel Vovinam Association (DCVA) got medals in the National Vovinam Championship 2014 held from June 7 to 10 at Bhopal, MP.

DL Medar Maring s/o DL Angdun Maring of Kangoi Khullen village bagged Silver medal and DL Khamba Maring s/o DL Angrung Maring of Sandang Senba village won bronze medal in the championship.

Khamba is a registered player of DCVA, though he is not from Chandel district.

Another Maring player namely M.Merungkham Maring s/o M Leithil Maring of Machi village also participate in the championship but he could not get any medal.

TH Modun Maring, the coach of District Chandel Vovinam Association, has congratulated the players for their achievements.
