10th State Cross Country PRSC's Kh Romajit seals 10 km men's title

Imphal, December 13 2019: Kh Romajit was crowned 10 km men's champion in the 10th State Cross Country Championship 2019 which was held today at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak under the aegis of Athletic Association of Manipur.

Kh Romajit won the top place in the men's 10 km event by reaching home in 35:07.91 while HYC's Sh Romesh finished second with a time of 35:42.88 before Md Minas of LSA completed the course in 36:43.15 .

In the U-20 men's 8 km event, HYC's K Vikram grabbed the first place covering the course in 29 minutes 28.08 seconds while KNSAA's Herojit (29:47.78) and LSA's Md Sahidur Rahaman (30:21.56) finished second and third respectively.

U-18 men's 6 km event title went to KNSAA's O Premjit who clocked 19:53.10 while HYC's L Ingo (20:01.56) and LSA's BM Sagir Ahamad (22:54.48) finished second and third.

In the U-16 men's 2 km event, SAA's BM Abdul Rajak bagged the first place completing the course in 6 minutes 46.17 seconds while JYC's Y Enaoba (7:07.99) and AMESCO's Ksh Ajesh (7:22.57) settled for the second and third place respectively.

In the U-20 women's 6 km event, A Sai Chanu of HYC finished first with a time of 26:27.25 while MSC's H Babita (26:32.43) and SSU's M Ashalata (26 :54.28) finished second and third.

U-18 women's 4 km event title was bagged by KNSAA's Th Babina in 17 minutes 27.91 seconds as SIROY's S Pakpi (17:52.27) and PRSC's K Ranjita (18:13.67) finished second and third.

In the U-16 women's 2 km event, MMC's P Roshni earned the top place with a time of 8 minutes 26.52 seconds.

T Premila of SSU who clocked the course in 8:47.38 and MSC's L Monika who took 8:53.68 seconds were able to secure the second and third places.

The athletes who have earned top places in this championship will be able to represent Manipur at the 54th National Cross Country Championship 2020 due to be held at Karimnagar, Telangana on January 19 .
