Dhrupad Kashyap wins 1st Salai NE Open Online Chess Tourney

Imphal, July 13 2020: Dhrupad Kashyap of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti School, Guwahati clinched the title of the 1st Salai North East Open Online Blitz Chess Tournament organized by Salai Chess Academy on July 12 through Lichess Platform in arena mode.

Dhrupad Kashyap scored 45 points, Bhringish Kalita scored 43 points, Chruv Phukan scored 42 points, Pratyush Kiran scored 37 and Abhrojyoti Nath 35 points.

Top five players from Open, U-7, U-9, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-25 were awarded E-certificates.

Altogether 97 players from different States of North East participated in the tournament, said head coach Salai Chess Academy Y Dhanabir Singh.
