3rd MCA Elite Tournament : REYS thrash Blue Hawk

Imphal, March 13 2016: REYS, Nagamapal clinched a convincing 152 runs victory against Blue Hawk, Khurai in the ongoing 3rd MCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Memorial Elite Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangshangbam.

Winning the toss, REYS went to bat first and set a huge 222 runs target with all men down in the 50 overs.

Rahul and Mintuchandra scored 63 and 57 runs respec- tively for REYS while other notable scorers Guniram and Nicky contributed 37 and 20 runs respectively.

Blue Hawk bowlers, Langamba scalped three wickets while Jitendra and Samson grabbed two wickets each.

Batting second, Blue Hawk were restricted to 69 runs in 26.3 overs with all men down.

Ajit with 28 runs was the highest scorer of Blue Hawk.

Jayenta took three wickets for REYS while Guniram and Seitajit also bagged two wickets each.

The man of the match title went to Guniram of REYS.

Tomorrow, NAPSA, Kha-Imphal will play with ESU, Wangkhei.
