State Open Ranking Table Tennis Tournament Cadet girls ready for semi-final face offs

Imphal, October 12 2017: Y Lakhipyari, Kh Loyalembi, Ak Punseshwori and H Liya entered the final four stages for cadet girls’ single events today in the ongoing State Open Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2017 organised by Thoubal District Table Tennis Association (TDTTA) under the super-vision of Manipur Table Tennis Association (MTTA) at Indoor Stadium , Thoubal .

In the first quarter-final match for cadet girls’, Y Lakhipyari (IE) defeated H Jayarani (Tbl) in straight sets.

Kh Loyalembi (Tbl) beat E Jeenata (Tbl) by 3-0 sets in the second quarter-final face off.

In the third-quarter final match, Ak Puneshwori (Tbl) beat Kh Sushibala (Tbl) and H Liya (IE) defeated L Bitu (Tbl) in straight sets to storm into semi-finals .

In pre-quarter final matches for cadet boys’, Columbus (Tbl) beat L Champion (Tbl) in straight sets while Ksh Rohit (IE) also beat Ksh Santhoi (Tbl) in straight sets.

In the third match, H Yaiphaba (Tbl) beat S Janeshor (Tbl) in the straight sets and Restaphen defeated M Chingkhei in the fourth match .

In men’s single group A matches, K Rohit (IW) beat L Victor (IW) and A Bamdev (Tbl) in straight sets.

Rohit also beat Rk Daniel by 3-1 sets.

Rk Daniel beat A Bamdev and L Victor in straight sets While L Victor defeated A Bamdev in straight sets in another match .

In group B matches, S Joychandra (AG) beat Y Subhas(IW) by 3-2 sets.

Joychandra also defeated L Manju by 3-1 sets and Kh Shivchandra (IW) in straight sets while Y Subhas beat Manju by 3-2 sets and Shivkumar in straight sets.

Manju defeated Shivkumar in straight sets 11-9, 11-6, 11-3 .

In group C matches, L Bikram (MPSC) beat Akshaykumar (AG) by 3-2 sets, Ch Sonamani (IW) and H Dilip (IW) in straight sets.

Akshaykumar defeated Sonamani and Dilip in straight sets.

Dilip edged out Ch Sonamani in straight sets in another match .

In group D matches, Ksh Vikas (AG) defeated W Lanthoiba (Tbl) 3-1, L Subhas (IW) 3-2 and Th Somochand (IW) 3-1 .

Somochand beat Lanthoiba 3-1 (11-9, 9-11, 11-8, 11-8) and L Subhas in straight sets 11-6, 11-6, 11-7.Lanthoiba beat L Subhas in straight sets 11-6, 11-4, 11-6 in another match.
