Imphal, August 11, 2014: M Umabati Chanu of Heigrujam won 1 gold medal in the sub-junior girls' Phunaba Ama event of the XXVth State level Thang-Ta Championship 2014 which kicked-off from today at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampakhere.

The championship is being organized by Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur.

Thounaojam Priyalaxmi Chanu of PAHULASHI, Mayaikoibi bagged 1 silver medal while Th Neha of Nongmeibung clinched 1 bronze medal in the 45 kg category of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Kh Romen Singh of MIKAL, Maibakhul won the gold medal in the 37 kg category while E Hemchandra Singh of HLTA, Samurou bagged the silver medal and N Ishorchandra Singh of MISA, Heingang clinched the bronze medal.

In the 53 kg category, W Ramanand Singh of ETO, Tangkham won the gold medal while the silver and the bronze medal went to I Thoithoiba Singh of PAHULASHI, Mayaikoibi and Ch Suranjoy Meitei of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom respectively.

In the sub-junior boys Phunaba Ani event, N Klintan Singh of MIMCTTA, Naoremthong secured the gold medal in the 41 kg category while S Saman Singh of Heigrujam and N Naresh Singh of Haraorou bagged the silver and the bronze medal respectively.

M Bidyasagar Singh of HLTA, Singjamei clinched the gold medal in the 45 kg while Y Swamikumar Singh of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom bagged the silver medala and Ph Ronaldo Singh of HLTA, Samurou won the bronze medal.

W Prithiraj Singh of Haraorou won the gold medal in the 49 kg category while L Bonalal Singh and L Nongdamba Singh of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom bagged the silver and the bronze medal respectively in the same competition.
