Y Ranjan passes Intl judge course

Yumnam Ranjan Singh passed the 14th Cycle FIG Aerobics Gymnastic Judge course conducted by the Gymnastic Federation of India under the auspices of F�d�ration Internationale de Gymnastique at Mumbai from March 4 to 9 in the Cat-4 .
A total of 41 delegates from 9 countries participated in the course.
Out of the 9 Indian delegates who took part in the course, only six, including State's Yumnam Ranjan Singh, passed the course.
The course was conducted by experts from different countries like Japan, Romania and England.
The Manipur Gymnasts Parents Association has congratulated Yumnam Ranjan Singh on becoming the first from the entire North East States to have passed the international judge course in Aerobic gymnastics.
Ranjan set his foot in gymnastic in Sept/Oct 1980.He first represented Manipur in the National School Games held in Tripura in 1984.He bagged one gold and a silver medal in the All India Rural Sports Meet, 1985 in the U-16 category.
He joined Services Sports Control Board as a gymnast in 1991.He became a national champion in aerobic gymnastic in 2000, 2003 and 2004.He was a gymnastic coach of SSCB since 2005.He attended the Aerobic Gymnastic Academy level-1 organised by FIG at Hanoi City, Vietnam in 2008 .
He successfully completed the Aerobic Gymnastic Academy level-2 course held in Vietnam in 2011.In 2012, Ranjan completed the Aerobic Gymnastic Academy level-3 course held in Haiphong City, Vietnam.
Ranjan retired from service in 2013 .
Even after his retirement, he continuously and consistently worked to groom budding gymnasts of the State.
