N Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : ESU crush CDCC by 10 wickets to solidify their position on top of Group C table

ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound bolstered their quarterfinal hopes in the ongoing 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy as they capped their campaign with a 10-wicket thrashing of CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai for the fourth win in five matches.
CDCC won the toss and elected to bat first at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.
They were however slumped to 58 all out in 18.4 overs as Yumkham Yoirelba (5/6 in 2.4) enjoyed a five-for including a hattrick in the 15th over while Hanjabam Naoba 2/10, Hanjabam Donba Sharma 1/13 and Soinbam Venus 1/11 shared four wickets between them.

Wasim Khan and Imran Khan scored identical 10 runs for CDCC in an innings that saw 6 batters depart on ducks including four to Yoirelba.
ESU then cruised to winning 59 in 4.4 overs thanks to opening partnership between Soibam Sayonba 29 and Hanjabam Donba 22 .
Yoirelba was eventually adjudged player of the match.
With the win, ESU solidified their position on top of Group C table and remained a dominant quarterfinal contenders from the group.
Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, KASC defeated YWC-L by 3 wickets for the second win in four Group A matches thanks to Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali's 6-wicket haul (6/39) and Syed Ashif's 3 wicket haul (3/31) .
YWC elected to bat first but were dismissed by L Maqubul Fida Ali and Syedashif with ease for 91 runs in 20.4 overs.
KASC then struggled their way to the target in 22.3 overs at the cost of 7 wickets.
Syed Ashif 17, Mujamin 14, Md Abdulgani 11 not out and Md Alfash 10 were the leading run getters in KASC's win.
Seram Tondonsana 33 not out was the highest run getter for YWC as Yumnam Kumar added 12 before Yumnam Achouba 2/23, Y Brightson 2/20 and Y Achouba 2/22 shared two wickets apiece.
Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali who starred with the ball was adjudged player of the match.
At Moijing Public Ground, MPA, Thounaojam ended their Group B campaign with three wins and kept their quarterfinal hopes alive by defeating AMCA, Thoubal by 8 runs.
MPA opted to bat first and amassed 163 runs for 6 wickets in allotted 35 overs thanks to Rojit Thoudam 38, Thounaojam Ruman, Ch Muhinikanta 19, Th Chinglensana 15 and Chongtham Priyokumar 13 and held AMCA to 155 all out in 35 overs thanks to Chongtham Priyokumar 4/35 and Th Chinglensana 2/18 .
For AMCA, M Anish 2/47 and Md Yakin 2/11 shared four wickets in the MPA innings before S Albash topscored with 36 runs in a lost cause.
Chongtham Priyokumar who produced an allround performance was adjudged player of the match.
PTCC, Patsoi Part III, also registered an 8-wicket win over SU, Sagolband in a Group D match at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Mayengbam Polenjit knocked 62 off 97 balls while Ningombam Roberson added 33 as PTCC added 157/4 in 35 overs after electing to bat first and restricted SU to 149/6 to seal their second win in four games.
Keisham Yaikhomba 2/27 and David Keisham 1/19 shared 3 wickets for SU as Keisham Anderson's fight 48 off 54 balls in reply went in vain.
For PTCC, Devas Tongbram 2/19, L Herachandra 1/11, A Roneljit 1/32 and N Lanngamba 1/22 shared 5 wickets.
Mayengbam Polenjit was declared player of the match.
