State Inter School Football : Bishnupur, Jiribam, Thoubal and Chandel register victories in U-14 girls

Imphal, October 10 2019: Bishnupur, Jiribam, Thoubal and Chandel District registered victories in U-14 girls while Imphal West, Chandel, Ukhrul and CCpur secured wins in U-14 boys of the ongoing 62nd National School Games in Football organized by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex today.

Girls
In the first match of the day, Bishnupur edged past Imphal West 2-1 as Bishnupur booked an early 1-0 lead three minutes into the game through Silky Nong which was equalised in the 23rd minute by Kim Langel of Imphal West to stay in the game.

But, Selliya late nick in the 32nd minute helped Bishnupur registered a narrow 2-1 win.

The second match of the day saw Jiribam secured a close 1-0 win against Kangpokpi with a late goal from Crossmowi in the 40th minute.

In the third match, Thoubal had a close 1-0 win over Kamjong through Henarita in the 30th minute after both the put up a tough fight to stay ahead in the game while in the 4th match, an early brace in the 3rd minute by Linthoi proved too much high to crossover for CCpur as Chandel secured 1-0 win in this evenly contested match.

In the last match of the day, Bishnupur thrashed Ukhrul by 5-0 goals, two goals each from Silky Nong, Th Sanjita respectively and one goal from O Babita.

Bishnupur surged ahead in the 13th minute through Silky Nong while Th Sanjita added two goals in the 29th and 43rd minute to put Bishnupur at 3-0 lead.

O Babita joined the party and added another goal in the 47th minute followed by Silky Nong's 2nd goal in the 50th minute to register a convincing 5-0 win over Ukhrul .

Boys
In the first match, Imphal West trounced Thoubal by 6-2 goals riding on three goals from H Rishikanta.

The Thoubal side scored two goals in the second half through H Bicky and Maxi in the 38th and 49th minute respectively.

S Aziz of Imphal West opened the score in the 23rd minute before H Rishikanta started the onslaught in the 30th, 44th and 48th minute of the match while Bikash and Sital added one goal each in the 32nd and 46th minute respectively to hand Imphal West a comfortable 6-2 victory.

The second match between Bishnupur and Kamjong saw goalless draw while in the third match, Chandel defeated PRZL by a narrow margin of 1-0 goals.

The lone goal was scored by Thumsol Tongsin in the 4th minute of the match.

In the fourth match, Ukhrul blanked JBM, Jiribam 3-0 in a one-sided match.

Wungsung opened the early goal for Ukhrul in the 4th minute which was doubled by Kazipmi Awungsi in the 18th minute while Worroiyo put the last nail on the coffin in the 46th minute to hand Ukhrul a respectful 3-0 victory over JBM, Jiribam.

The fifth match saw a goal scoring spree from CCpur beating Thoubal by 8-0 goals.

Ginminsang, Thangalbert and Lungoumang scored 3, 3 and 2 goals to rout Thoubal in this very one-sided match.

Meanwhile, the last match of the day between Noney and Kamjong ended 1-1 draw.

Hormaya opened the score for Kamjong in the 14th minute while Pougang scored the equaliser in the 22nd minute.
