Manipur thrash Maharashtra 7-0 in Junior national hockey championship

Imphal, September 10 2024:
Manipur Hockey inflicted a crushing 7-0 defeat on Maharashtra in a Pool G match of the ongoing 14th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship2024 at Jalandhar, Punjab on Tuesday.
Both Irengbam Ronit Singh (3, 38) and Rickey Tonjam (21, 56) scored twice while Ningombam Amarjit Singh (9), Ningthoujam Rohit Singh (29) and Yumkham Bidyananda Singh (41) each contributed a goal in the state boys' comprehensive win.
Ningthoujam Rohit Singh was named player of the match.
Manipur will next play Hockey Himachal Pradesh on September 12, 2024 .
The team is guided by coach Kshetrimayum Romesh Singh and
manager Moirangthem Rinash.
