Imphal, November 09 2019: Khangembam Roshni has won a gold medal for India at the 5th South Asian Cadet, Junior and Senior Karate Championship which was held in Bangladesh from November 7 to 9 .

Khangembam Roshni of Manipur Amateur Karate Association bagged the gold medal in the 54 kg kumite event for cadets beating Narangoda Liyange Chanudi Pabavi of Sri Lanka in the final.

She reached the final by seeing off Shova Shanjida Siddika of Bangladesh.

Roshni Chanu is the daughter of Khangembam Mani Meitei and Khangembam Ongbi Anita Leima of Saiton Salan Konjin, Bishnupur district and currently trains at ISKF Dojo of Patsoi Part I under coach, Sensei Soibam Bindeshori and Shihan Mutum Bankim.
