3rd MCA Elite Tournament YWC down THAU by 6 wkts

Imphal, May 09 2016: YWC, Langthangbal registered an easy 6 wickets win against THAU, Thangmeiband in the ongoing 3rd MCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Memorial Elite Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangshangbam.

Put in to bat first, THAU went down early as they were restricted for just 75 runs (all out) in 30.2 overs.

Jelson (14), Rabikanta (13) and Shahir (12) were the notable scorers of THAU.

For YWC, man of the match Th Kishan scalped three wickets while Subashchandra, Prasanta, Bishwas took two wickets each and Priyokumar also grabbed a wicket.

In reply, YWC easily chased the target by striking 76 runs in 23.5 overs with six wickets in hand.

Unbeaten Prakashmani was the highest scorer as he hit 27 runs off 42 balls while notable players Jixo and Priyokumar contributed 13 and 11 runs respectively.

THAU's Sunil, Ravikanta, Chitaranjan and Pritam took a wicket each.

The man of the match title went to YWC's Th Kishan.

Tomorrow, SCCC, Singjamei will play with Force, Kshetrigao.
