22nd Senior National Wushu Championship : Manipur emerge over all champs with 25 medals

Manipur emerged the overall champions bagging a total 25 medals at the 22nd Senior National Wushu Championship played at the SMM Stadium at Jaipur since February 6 .
The tournament was organised under the aegis of Wushu Association of India.
Of the 22 medals bagged by the State players, 13 were gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals.
In the girls section, (Taolu Athletics) Ng Toshibala bagged the gold in the Daoshu and Gunshu events and a silver in the Changquan; N Sanatombi Chanu bagged the gold in the Taijiquan and silver in Taijijian; P Thoibi bagged the gold in Nanquan and silver in Nandao and Nagun; Kh Bidhyashori Chanu got the gold in Taijijian and silver Taijiquan; Y Sapana Devi garnered the gold in Changquan, Jainshu, Qiangshu.
In the boys section (Taolu), Ng Indrakumar Singh got a bronze in Changquan; L Naokhomba Meitei won a gold in Taijiquan and one bronze in Taijijian; H Omega Meitei got a silver in Nandao and one bronze in Nangun.
In the girls section of Sanshou Athletes, L Ranjan Devi (below 45 Kg class) bagged a gold; W Binarani (U-48 Kgs) bagged a gold; Th Binapani (U-65 Kgs) garnered the gold, W Sandhyarani (U-70 Kgs) bagged the gold; Ch Kabita Chanu (U 52 Kgs) bagged the bronze; H Sangit Devi (U-56 Kgs) got the bronze while in the boys section O Romen Singh (U-52 Kgs) bagged the bronze.
Bagging 25 medals in total, the Manipur team emerged the overall champions.
