KPC–A, SPC enter semis in Hazari State Polo tourney

Imphal, February 09, 2012: Khurai Polo Club (KPC)–A and Singjamei Polo Club (SPC) today entered semi finals of the ongoing 27th N Hazari State Polo Tournament-2012 organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at the Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

The first match today was played between KPC–A and Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC)–B in whih KPC beat MPSC 8-1 and entered semi finals.

The 1st chukker of the match went scoreless as no players of both team could scored any goal against one another.

In the 2nd chukker, both teams scored one goal each.

The goal of MPSC which later turned out to be the only goal was scored by S Abungcha in the 2.08 minute.

While the first goal of KPC was scored by L Thomson in the 4.42 minute.

In the 3rd chukker, H Papak of KPC scored two goals in the 1.05 and 1.18 minutes.

L THomson and Th Momocha also scored one goal each in the 2.58 and 5.02 minutes respectively.

In the 4th chukker, P Jotin, H Papak and L Thomson scored one goal each against MPSC in the 2.02, 2.25 and 2.42 minutes and won the match.

Singjamei Polo Club (SPC) defeated MPSC–C 3-1 in the second match and entered the semi final rounds.

P Ojit of SPC drew first blood in the 2.15 minute of the 1st chukker while MPSC failed to draw any goal against them.

The 2nd chukker went goalless.

In the 3rd chukker, both teams scored one goal each against one another.

M Bilam scored the goal of MPSC in the 0.59 minute while the goal of SPC was scored by P Ojit in the 1.54 minute.

While in the 4th chukker, S Sadananda scored the third goal of SPC in the 4.46 minute.

On the other hand, MPSC player players failed to scored any goals against SPC and lost the match.
