Imphal, January 09 2015 : Manipur Police Sporting Club (MPSC) registered an easy 7-0 win against its opponent Barikuri Regional Sports Academy (BRSA), Tinsukia in the third quarter-final match of the ongoing Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung today.

MPSC dominated the match right from the first whistle and put immense pressure on the Assam's team.

It is pertinent to mention that the Tinsukia team, representing AASB, were participating in the tournament impromptu following last minute withdrawal of Assam State Electricity Board from the tournament.

The police team were rewarded for their offensive play as early as in the 7th minute when Kiran converted a fine pass from Golmei.

Although the BRSA defenders had a tumultuous time trying to keep off the attacking police strikers, the Tinsukia strikers did not hesitate in launching counter attacks and raiding their opponents' goal mouth, even though they could not convert one due to poor finishing.

The scoreline remained 1-0 in favour of the police side at the end of the first half.

Resuming their attacking spree at the start of the second half, MPSC, with smooth combinations between Golmei, Ksh Kanta and Kiran, began raining goals.

Golmei scored two goals in the 47th and 84th minute while Kiran added two more goals in the 62nd and 82nd minute.

Two goals from Kanta in the 76th and 89th minute helped the MPSC register a convincing 7-0 win against the BRSA.

In the fourth quarter-final match, TRAU, Kwakeithel will meet SSB tomorrow.
