21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament : SNC beat LCC to cap Group A campaign with two wins

Imphal, January 08 2025: SNC, Sangaiprou defeated LCC, Lamsang by 13 runs to finish Group A campaign in the 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament with two wins at Langthabal Public Ground.

Put in to bat first, SNC gathered a commanding total of 209 runs for 8 wickets in 30 overs and restricted LCC to 196/7 to seal the 13 run victory.

Rajen 60 and Rajesh 59 produced blistering half century knocks while Bishorjit 25, Thawai 15 and Rakesh 13 made double digit scores to guide SNC to the huge total.

Michael 3/36 and Dilip 2/45 led the bowling attack for LCC before they slumped to 196 for 7 in reply despite Tikendrajit's 65-ball 74 and sensible batting performances from Dilip 30, Suresh 25 not out and Kamaljit 16 .

Satyaraj was the pick of the SNC bowlers clinching three wickets (3/30) while Rajesh picked two wickets (2/35) .

Ng Rajesh of SNC who scored a half century and picked two wickets was adjudged player of the match.

TCMDC, Thongju will play YCC, Wangkhei in the next match tomorrow.
