21st Winners' Cup HISU tame RAU at home

Imphal, November 05 2016: HISU, Thoubal registered a hard fought 2-1 win over visitors RAU, Lairikyengbam today at the former's home ground- Charangpat, in the ongoing Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi memorial 21st Winners' Cup.

The hosts scored a goal each in both halves.

S Rahul of HISU broke the deadlock in the 28th minute as his attempt was bang on target.

Both teams went to the break with HISU's 1-0 lead intact.

After the lemon break, the home team continued playing attacking game while the visitors fought hard to find the equaliser.

S Biky extended the lead of the home team as he ensured an accurate finishing in the 61st minute.

N Chiphang pulled one back for the visitors in the 70th minute.

However, their efforts to find the leveller went abegging.
