Asufii Football Academy storm into NSF Martyrs cup final

The Asufii Football Academy (AFA), Mao stormed into the grand final of the 24th Naga Students' Federation Martyrs' Memorial trophy being underway at Kohima IG stadium.
The AFA edged out the Circle FC, Chedema, with a margin of 2-1 goals.
In a nail-biting match, Bijoy Moktan found the lead of AFA in the 17th minute but V S Zimik pulled level for Circle FC in the 29th minute.
Both teams remained unseparated till the end of the regulation time and eventually the game entered into extra time.
P Sorormi Thingsang then retained the lead for AFA in the 104th minute.
However, all eyes were on the goalkeeper Gachiiwo S Tara who made magnificent saves to bring the team this far.
The Manipur based academy team managed the late pressure well and in sublime coordination and synergy the team crossed the finishing line.
AFA team is owned by 3 times Mao AC MLA Losii Dikho who is expected to be present during the final match.
The AFA is coached by former football star and experienced football club coach Gift Raikhan.
The Asufii Football Academy located at scenic Asufii, Punanamei village, Mao overlooking the Manipur-Nagaland border villages is a football club powerhouse and is grooming many young football talents with its well established infrastructure including player's hostel, coaching staff, team buses, two natural grass football ground size, two artificial turf grounds and many other facilities.
Huge crowd attendance is expected at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, in the final scheduled to be played on October, 5 from 1 pm .
After the event, AFA team will travel to Imphal to play for the Manipur Premier League.
