Mangsor Trophy ends

With the attempt to promote Mangsor Cave�a selected tourism site in Ukhrul district, through sports, the first Mangsor Trophy was held from Jan 1 by the Khangkhui Khullen Youth Club.
A total of five teams participated in the tournament.
In the final match held today, KAYSA trounced KIFA and walked away richer by Rs 5000 .
H Ngaraipam, President of the organising committee said that the tournament was organised to attract tourists to the Cave from inside and outside the district.
He added that the tournament would be organised in a bigger and grander manner from the next edition.
Former headman of Khangkhui Khullen attended the final match of the tournament as the chief guest.
Mangsor Cave, located at Khangkhui Khullen village which is about 14 kms off Ukhrul district headquarters is also a place where a fierce battle was fought between the Japanese troops and British troops during the World War II.
