3rd MCA Plate Tournament ESU down YWC by 65 runs

Imphal, May 02 2016: ESU, Wangkhei defeated YWC, Patsoi by 65 runs in the 3rd MCA Plate Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today at Langthabal Cricket Stadium.

Winning the toss ESU opted to bat first and produced 129 runs in the allotted 35 overs with one wicket in hand.

Unbeaten Monish hit 30 runs off 49 balls while Herojit (21), Chitaranjan (11) and Bobby (10) were the other notable scorers of ESU.

For YWC, Priyabarta scalped three wickets while Karanbir and Surjit bagged two wickets each.

Batting second, YWC failed to chase the target as they were restricted at 64 runs in 22.1 overs.

Amitra (22) was the only main scorer of YWC.

A fine bowling spell from Bobby saw him taking four wickets while Shanker and Chitaranjan grabbed three and two wickets respectively.

The man of the match title went to Bobby of ESU.

Tomorrow, OSCAR, Paona Bazar will play with PSC, Khoyathong.
