Two from State to represent India in 5th South Asian Karate C'ship

Imphal, November 01 2019:
Two karatekas of Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association (MAKA) have been selected to represent India in the 5th South Asian Cadet, Junior and Senior Karate Championship from November 7 to 9 at Dhaka,
Bangladesh.

A press release issued by MAKA said that Khangembam Roshni Chanu, d/o Kh Mani Meitei and Kh Anita Leima of Saiton, Bishnupur will be participating in the 54+ kgs cadet girls kumite (sparring) event while Shihan Mutum Bankim Singh will represent the country as referee.
The two individuals will leave Imphal on November 6, it added.
It may be mentioned that Khangembam Roshni Chanu was selected by the Karate Association of India (KAI) for winning a gold medal in the Under 21 National Karate Championship held at DTRP Indoor Stadium, Guwahati on April 5 and 6 this year.
