Many continue to honour Mirabai

Imphal, August 01 2021: Many organisation are continuing to honour Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics-2020 in the weightlifting competition.

Representing state CSOs, United Committee Manipur (UCM) ex-secretary and presently IPSA vice president Khuraijam Athouba lauded Mirabai for bringing internation al recognition and glory to the state by winning the silver medal in the Olympic Games.

He then assured of extending unconditional support to Mirabai in all her future endeavours.

During the felicitation function, CLK advisor A Langdon Leima presented an honorary stole (lengyan phi) and monetary incentive, pooled by the CSOs, to Mirabai.

The function was also attended by KSA president Chetan, VP Bidyananda, ACOAM-Lup VP Sanouba, UCM IPR secretary Leishemba Lamaba, IPSA secretary (admin) W Rabi, Rising Sun Club president and IPSA executive member Bhumeshor among others.
