Stage set for semi-finals of Pul Raang Cup

Imphal, July 31 2019: The semifinal line up of the "Pul Raang Cup", 1st Hill District Volleyball Tournament 2019 have been completed today with the conclusion of league stage today.

DMMT will meet Lakhani 16 in the first semifinal match of the women's competition while YSCT will take on CWVT in another semi-final clash.

Meanwhile, Shining Star, Churachandpur will face PRYC, Chandel in the first semi-final match for men's competition and KYSC, Tamenglong meet UKSC, Churachandpur for the other spot.

Today's League matches DMMT ensured their place in the women's semifinal with a thumping 25-10, 25-6, 25-9 win against ZYC in a Group A league match today while CWVT did the same with a hard fought 23-25, 25-18, 27-25, 17-25, 15-13 win against HHMT in another Group A league match.

In the last league matches of the men's competition, UKSC beat PYC 22-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 16-14; PRYC overwhelmed Lakhani-16 in straight sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-20) and KSYC edged past DMMT 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15 .
