Challenge Cup Veteran Football: TBSFA thrash VSAN, NCDA and NSAC share the spoils

Imphal, April 30 2015 : TBSFA thrashed VSAN by 9-0 while NDCA and NSAC CCpur shared the spoils in the league match of the 17th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament being played under the supervision of Manipur Veteran Football Association (MVFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung on Thursday.

TBSFA thrashed helpless VSANby 9-0.VSAN could not organized their defense and leak goals at regular intervals.

TBSFA initiate the goal spree through Th Krishnatombi in 7th min of the match.

Krishnatombi further lapped on the scoring opportunities in 43rd and 52th min of the match to take his personal score to 3 goals.

ChAnand also match Krishnatiombi's performance by thumping in three goals in 17th; 47th and 56th min.

The two leading scorers were supported by O Arun with two goals in 20th and 30th min while L Surjit scored in 10th min.

Earlier in the day, NCDA and NSAC match ended in 2-2 draw.

In a closely fought match, NCDA set the field on fire by scoring two early goals in 13th and 19th through M Pahari.

Not deterred by the quick two goals, NSAC mounted series of attack and reduced the deficit by one goal before the half time through Maopu in 26th min.

After the break, NSAC stunned NCDA by scoring in the first minute of restart (31st min) through Seihlam by exploiting the nippiness of NCDA defenders.

With the score line at 2-2 both the teams tried to increase the lead but the defenders did allow the advancing attackers to score and ended the match evenly.
