Imphal, January 31 2016: NEROCA FC and NISA stormed into the semifinals after defeating their opponents in the 6th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial State Open Football Tournament, jointly organised by Group Centre CRPF and Imphal West District Football Association (IWDFA) under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), today at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

In the third quarterfinals match today, NEROCA FC, Sangakpham blanked MTFC, Leimakhong by a margin of 2 goals to nil.

The winning goals of NEROCA FC were scored by Anand and Ronald in the 73rd and 85th minute respectively.

MTFC's Paulhian Moi, L Ibotomba and Premchand and NEROCA FC players Dhananjoy and Ronald were yellow carded during the match.

In the last quarterfinals match today, NISA, Thangmeiband clinched a thrilling 5-4 win over SKYC, Sekmai via penalty after both the teams were locked 1-1 in normal time.

The match began with SKYC taking a 1-0 lead after Ng Bishorjit opened the account in the 45th minute.

After the breather, O Prameshwor found the equaliser for NISA in the 70th minute.

After both the sides were held 1-1 , penalty shootout was brought into the match to decide the match winner.

In the shootout, NISA witnessed four goals through N Jimmy, Kh Shitaljit, Kh Naoton and L Roshan.

On the other side, SKYC witnessed three goals after N Suresh, RK Robin and Ng Peter found their targets.

O Prameshor of NISA was booked during the match.

Tomorrow in the first semifinals match, NEROCA FC will clash with UPSA while NISA and GC CRPF SC will play in second semifinals match.
