5-a-side football tournament begins

Thoubal, November 20 2021: The State Level 5-A Side Football Tournament being organised by Thoubal Moijing Youth Club, Moijing commenced on Saturday.

A total of 24 teams divided into eight groups are competing at Moijing playground.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by Konsam Michael Singh, intending candidate from Thoubal constituency in the forthcoming state assembly election, Md Abbas, president United Moijing Football Club (UMFC), Md Mahamood, head master, Mahamoo, head coach UMFC, Md Serajuddin, primary asst teacher, and Md Siraj Ahamed, secretary DYMC as chief guest, president and guests of honour, respectively.

In the opening match, Bonny FC Paobitek beat SIDO FC Khelakhong by a 1-0 margin.
