THAU win in IW 2nd Division League opener

Imphal, December 29 2024: THAU staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over IUFC in the opening match of the 12th Imphal West District 2nd Division Football League 2024, held at the PAMYAL Ground on Sunday.

IUFC initially took the lead through a goal by Th Anand in the 34th minute.

However, THAU responded effectively, equalising in the 40th minute through L Dicboss and sealing the win with a decisive strike from Aboton in the 73rd minute.

Meanwhile, MTSU were awarded a walkover as ESA failed to appear for their scheduled match.

THAU came from behind to beat IUFC in the opening match of the 12th Imphal West District 2nd Division Football League 2024 at PAMYAL Ground on Sunday.

IUFC stole a march on THAU when Th Anand found the back of the net in the 34th minute.

However, THAU bounced back strongly to overturn the score, with L Dicboss making it all square in the 40th minute and Aboton netting the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.

Meanwhile, MTSU received a walkover after ESA failed to show up for their match.
