MU names teams for Inter University Wushu Tournament

Imphal, December 13 2024: Manipur University has named its men's and women's teams for the All India Inter University Wushu Tournament 2024-25, scheduled to take place from February 14, 2025 at Chandigarh University in Mohali, Punjab.

The men's team comprises 11 players for Sanda event and eight for Taolu event.

The players for the Sanda event include Kh Jeniboy, N Restafen Singh, A James Meitei, Naresh Nongmaithem, H Sanayaima Singh, S Hittler Singh, Rakesh Atom, Md Rahish, Salim Khumukcham, Ajit Tongbram and Sanathoi Moirangthem.

On the other hand, the players selected for the Taolu event are Bonish Yurembam, Ch Dinesh Singh, W Bhumeshwor Meetei, Kh Kaiku Singh, Sohan Yumnam, Kh Samir Khan, Paikhomba Akoijam and Shitaljit Atom.

Additionally, five reserve players have been listed for the Sanda event.

The women's team for Sanda event consists of M Mariyam Chanu, Kh Chaoba Devi, B Tamphasana Devi, H Chaoba Devi, Th Dolly Devi, T Kabita Devi and E Italy Chanu, while Th Sandeshwori Chanu, W Silvia Devi, Y Shina Devi, M Albina Chanu, Tomthinnganbi Haubijam, Olica Naorem and H Dayani Devi have been named for Taolu event.

Ng Rameshwori has been named as a reserve player for the Sanda event.
