CPC-A, TPC-B to square off in State polo tourney final

Imphal, December 29 2024: Chingkheihunba Polo Club-A and Tekcham Polo Club-B set up title clash of the 1st State Level Men's Open Polo Tournament 2024, following their respective semifinal victories at Khul Palli Ground, Kakching, on Sunday.

In the first semifinal, Chingkheihunba Polo Club-A registered a comfortable 7-4 win over Tekcham Polo Club-A .

A Basanta Singh led the charge with a hat-trick, supported by Jugindro Singh's two goals, while Leishemba Takhellambam and Th Kaoba each contributed one goal to secure their team's spot in the final.

Tekcham Polo Club-A's P Ojit accounted for all four goals for his side.

The second semifinal witnessed Tekcham Polo Club-B dominate Nambul Mapal Polo Club with an overwhelming 12-1 win.

Rohit emerged as the standout performer, scoring five goals.

Sadananda netted three, while L Thomson and S Dollar added two goals each, ensuring commanding win.

The semifinal matches saw the presence of dignitaries, including Hiyanglam AC MLA H Kishwarjit, social worker Sh Bobo, IRAP editor Pradip Phanjoubam, and social worker M Chandramani.

The final match will take place on December 31, 2024 .
