Wushu will be added in Khelo India games: YAS Minister

YAS Minister Govindas Konthoujam has said that Wushu will be introduced in the Khelo India games.
The Minister made the remark while attending a felicitation programme of the Manipur team who won the overall champion at the recently concluded 22nd sub junior National Wushu Championship with 65 medals.
Speaking at the felicitation programme organised by Wushu Training School Nachou at Nachou Maning community hall today, Minister Govindas Konthoujam said the Government is working towards providing better facilities and assistance to players of the State.
He further added that sports play a vital role in the fight against drug abuse which has become a major problem in the State.
Simple gifts were presented to player who won medal at the championship as well as officials of Manipur team.
The programme was also attended by Advocate Y Ramananda, vice president Wushu Association Manipur-DC Bishnupur L Bikram; District YAS officer Bishnupur Y Ibeyaima and founder of Kung Fu and Kick Boxing India Dr Th Noren amongst other as presidium members.
