MU inter college Kabaddi tourney begins

Imphal, October 12 2024: The Manipur University Inter College Kabaddi (M&W) Tournament 2024-25, organised by Pole Star College, Hiyanglam-Wabagai, commenced on Saturday.

In the women's event, Lilong Haoreibi College claimed a 57-48 win over Manipur University, while Pole Star College defeated Moirang College 48-21 .

The victories by Lilong Haoreibi College and Pole Star College propelled them to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, SK Women's College and W Mani Girls' College received byes, completing the last-four lineup.

The men's event saw Mayai Lambi College, Manipur University, Pole Star College and Lilong Haoreibi College book semifinal spots, following their wins over their respective opponents.

Mayai Lambi College got the better of YK College 36-22, Manipur University downed Thoubal College 49-47, Pole Star College outclassed Moirang College 51-16, and Lilong Haoreibi College defeated JCRE Global College 44-15 for their places in the semifinals.
