Samom Melody triumphs on her pro MMA fight debut

Imphal, December 27 2024: Samom Melody Devi, a student of Aztecs Sports and Fight Studio, under the expert guidance of head coach Salam Lemba Meitei, has made a triumphant debut in her professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) career.

Melody secured a decisive victory in her first professional MMA fight at HADES K-Pro 9.0, held on December 25, 2024, at Convention Centre, Panjim, Goa.

She defeated her opponent, Nazeer from Meghalaya, via technical knockout (TKO) in the second round (57 minutes) in the 52kg weight category.

Prior to her professional debut, Samom Melody boasted an impressive amateur MMA record of 6 wins and 1 loss.

Melody Devi thanked her two teachers, Ch Sana-henba and K Ningthem, for their financial support, acknowledging that their support and encouragement played a significant role in her success.
