AR organises volleyball and cricket matches

Imphal, July 18 2022: Modi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised friendly volleyball and Cricket matches with Perington Youth Sports Club, Tengnoupal district and WISECRAB Youth Club of Chandel district yesterday.

The matches were organised as part of "Fit India Movement" and to emphasize importance of health and fitness among the local youth and student body of both the districts.

The youth and students participated with full enthusiasm, said PRO of IGAR (S) in a statement.

Post matches, distribution of sports equipment was also organised for the civil populace.

Further an interaction programme with local youth was carried out wherein development activities planned for the future were discussed.

Issues related to development, security and education were also discussed, it added.
