Sainik School's 48th Annual Athletic Sports Meet concludes

Imphal, December 14 2024: Sainik School Imphal held the closing ceremony of its 48th Annual Athletic Sports Meet on Saturday.

The sports competition was followed by an enthralling PT display by Class VI cadets, along with impressive performances in Taekwondo, a school band showcase, and traditional displays of Thang-Ta, stick dance, and Mukna presented by sports trainees from the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

The programme continued with the distribution of prizes to recognise outstanding achievements.

The ceremony concluded with a ceremonial march past by contingents representing each house of the school.

The principal, Col A Rajiv, formally declared the sports meet closed and extended his gratitude to Ramani, wrestling coach, and her team from SAI for gracing the occasion.

As a gesture of gratitude, he presented the SAI team with school mementos and gifts.

Cadet Henry (Senior Division), cadet Dayananda (Junior Division), and cadet Priya (Girls Division) were honoured with the best athlete awards in their respective categories.

Raman House claimed overall championship title.
