AR organises friendly volleyball match in Chandel district

Imphal, November 11 2024: Assam Rifles hosted a friendly volleyball match between its troops and local youths at New Samtal village in Chandel district on November 10, 2024 .

The volleyball match brought together enthusiastic young players from the village, who showcased their skills and sportsmanship in an intense competition.

The match was attended by 76 villagers, culminating in a victory for the New Samtal team.

The event not only provided a platform for friendly rivalry but also served to strengthen the bonds between the Assam Rifles and the local community, said an IGAR (S) press release.

Following the match, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the participants for their exceptional performance and sportsmanship, the release further informed.
