Imphal, November 10 2024: Dr K Romeo Meetei, president of the Manipur Sport Climbing Association, faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education at Manipur University, and secretary of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation's North East Zone, has been appointed as a judge for the prestigious 2024 Asian Youth Sport Climbing Championship, set to take place in Tata Nagar, Jamshedpur.

This selection highlights Dr Romeo's expertise and dedication to advancing excellence in sport climbing, earning him recognition on an international stage.

The 2024 Asian Youth Sport Climbing Championship will feature Asia's top athletes, showcasing unparallel talent and skill in the sport.

As an Olympic discipline, sport climbing demands rigorous standards, and Dr Romeo will join an elite panel tasked with ensuring fair assessments that uphold the competition's high standards of excellence, according to a press release from the Manipur Sport Climbing Association.
