Imphal, October 08 2015: The first Asem Ningol Ibechaobi Memorial Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2015 organised by Chess Club New Thumbuthong, Imphal would be held on October 10 (Second Saturday) and 11 (Sunday), at its club premises.

Under the aegis of the Manipur Chess Association, the tournament, the first of its kind in Manipur would be sponsored by Asem Indrajit Singh and his families.

The theme of the two day tournament is "Play chess for having good memories." The tournament will be played under Rapid System of 25 minutes each of the player with a total of 50 minutes and the position shall be finalised according to their Progressive Score.

If players are tied at the same point, for further tie, the Break shall be based on the result of the blitz (game) having 5 minutes each of the player with a total of 10 minutes.

Registration form is made available at Rs.107- and Entry fee is Rs.1007- for every participant.

Admission form can be had from the Sub Office of the Manipur Chess Association, New Thumbuthong, Imphal from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
