PCC, KSDO, TRAU enjoy easy victories in MNCA U-16 Boys' Trophy

PCC and KSDO both prevailed by an identical 9 wickets, while TRAU enjoyed an emphatic win and SHADOW also carried the day in Thursday's fixtures of the 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25.PCC produced an all-round performance to hammer KASC by 9 wickets at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang) .
KASC was restricted to a modest 64/9 in 14.4 overs, with Lucky Thokchom starring for PCC by claiming 5 wickets.
Lamnganba Nongmaithem contributed with two wickets, and Rojer Laishram added one to the tally.
Only Syed Ashif (18 not out) and Md Abdulgani (14) managed to reach double figures.
PCC chased down the target in just 4.1 overs, led by an unbeaten 45 from Lucky Thokchom.
Rahis Khan was run out for 4, while Dilshan remained not out on 1.KSDO also registered a dominant 9 - wicket win over SCCC at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
After dismissing SCCC for 63 in 19.3 overs, KSDO's bowlers excelled, with Mohammed Abu Sufiyan taking 5 wickets and Kh Firdos and Mohammed Soheb each picking up two, while Mohammed Gunbas claimed one.
In response, KSDO comfortably reached the target in 7.1 overs with Md Washim (19 not out), Kh Firdos (11 not out), and Mohammed Abu Sufiyan (14) contributing key runs.
Abu Sufiyan was dismissed by Moirangthem Johnson.
TRAU, meanwhile, recorded a decisive 120-run victory over SU at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, Thoubal.
Batting first, TRAU amassed 276/3 in their allotted 35 overs, with Mutum Swabhiman scoring a blistering 164 not out off 91 balls, supported by Huiningshumbam Luching (45) and Ishorchandra Loitongbam (38 not out) .
For SU, Keisham Anderson and Keisham Yaikhomba took two and one wicket, respectively.
TRAU then put on a strong bowling display, dismissing SU for 156 in 26 overs.
Tyrus Chabungbam and Mutum Swabhiman led the attack with four wickets each, while Huiningshumbam Luching and Ringku Moirangthem chipped in with one wicket each.
Keisham Anderson's resilient 80 was the only significant resistance for SU.
Elsewhere, SHADOW claimed a 30-run victory over AMCA.
Batting first, SHADOW scored 137/9 in 35 overs, with contributions from Laishram Bidyasagar Meitei (22 not out), Arubam Goshan Singh (22), Yohenba Konjengbam (19), and Sagatpam Lanchenba (16).For AMCA, Hanif, Khulakpam Fariyaz Khan, Moichingmay urn Md Yakin, and Maibam Anish each took two wickets, while Thoubalmayum Mustakim added one.
In response, AMCA struggled and were bowled out for 107 in 29 overs, with Sangomsumpham Albash the only batter to reach double figures.
SHADOW'S bowlers Sagatpam Telheiba (3 wickets), Arubam Goshan Singh, and Chinglemba Haobam (2 wick-e ts each) led the charge, supported by Sagatpam Lanchenba and Devis Khunjamayum with one wicket each.
