UVSA beat KFC to win Challenge Cup

Imphal, February 26 2023: UVSA (Lilong Chajing) beat Keishamthong FC 4-2 in the final of the 22nd Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament 2023 played at YWC Ground, Malom on Sunday.

KFC took the lead in the 13th minute through M Santikumar but Kh Romen drew level for UVSA in the 14th minute and N Gandhi put UVSA ahead in the 29th minute before S Budha found their third goal moments later.

KFC scored their second goal in the 59th minute through Y Dijendra but they failed to improve as UVSA held their ground to win the tournament.

The players who bagged titles in the tournament were UVSA's K Devan (best goalkeeper), KFC's W Chaoba (best defender), UVSA's S Itocha (best midfielder), KFC's M San-jitkumar (best striker & top scorer), and UVSA's S Budha (best player) .
